How is RFID different from barcode for jewelry?
Barcode requires line-of-sight — scan each piece individually. RFID reads hundreds of tags at once, even through cases and trays. A full-store inventory count that takes 2–3 days with barcode takes minutes with RFID. Barcode tags are cheaper per unit, but the labor savings on cycle counts, audits, and loss prevention pay back RFID fast.
