Which tag printer package is right for my store?
Depends on your volume and whether you need RFID. Starter POS fits single-location stores doing mainly barcode tagging. Simply Tags and Tagging Pro add higher-speed printers and advanced tag layouts. Ultimate Tagging includes RFID hardware for stores doing fast cycle counts and audits. Tell us your store size and workflow — we'll recommend the right tier.
Is the tag printing software included, or separate?
Tag printing software is included in every package. You can design jewelry-specific tag layouts (metal, karat, stone, weight, price, barcode, QR code, or RFID encoding) and print from the WJewel POS or standalone if you're not using WJewel yet.
Can I use these packages if I don't use WJewel POS?
Yes. The tag printer software works standalone if you're not on WJewel yet — many jewelers start with tagging and migrate to full POS later. The data you tag now carries forward if you do switch to WJewel.
Is there a warranty on the hardware?
Yes. All tag printers ship with the manufacturer's warranty. We help coordinate warranty service and can provide extended protection plans on request. Contact us for warranty specifics on a particular package.
How long does it take to set up a tag printer?
Physical setup is usually under an hour. Software configuration — tag layouts, data fields, test prints — takes 1–2 sessions with our team. Most stores are printing production tags the same day hardware arrives.
Do you train my team to use the tag printer?
Yes — unlimited training is included. We walk your team through printer setup, tag design, day-to-day tagging workflow, and troubleshooting. Retraining for new hires is always free.
Can I upgrade my package later?
Yes. Start with what you need today and upgrade when you grow. Add RFID, more printers, or move to a higher-speed model whenever it makes sense. Contact us to discuss an upgrade.
