Can you import my data from my old POS?

Yes. We regularly migrate inventory, customer records, repair history, and other transactions from most jewelry POS systems — including The Edge, Jewelry Shopkeeper, JewelMate, Lightspeed, Business Mind, and QuickBooks. Our team handles the data mapping so you don't have to re-enter items one by one. We accept CSV, Excel, VFP, SQL backups, and QuickBooks exports. During setup we review your current data together and tell you exactly what will carry over, what needs cleaning, and what's better to leave behind. If you are unable to export the data, we may be able to import directly through the backend.

How long does it take to set me up?

Most jewelry stores are live on WJewel in 1 business day. Training takes about a week or so. Data import may take anywhere from 1 day to a couple of weeks, depending on the complexity. The timeline includes data migration, account configuration, tag and receipt layout setup, hardware installation, and initial training.

How much training do you provide?

Unlimited training, included with every subscription. No extra cost, no hour limit. We train live, mostly over Zoom, record sessions for your team to reference later, and train new hires whenever you bring them on. We also have training videos available on different topics for your reference. Training covers day-to-day POS workflow, repair intake, inventory management, reporting, and anything specific your team needs.

How long does it take for the average user to be really up and running on the full features?

Most sales associates are confident at the register within a couple of days — checkout, lookup, repair intake, basic customer management. Deeper features such as custom reporting, accounting, memo in/out, RFID audits, and multi-store transfers typically take 2–4 weeks of regular use. Store owners and managers usually reach full-feature mastery within a few weeks. We stay available the entire time — call or email whenever a question comes up.

Will you help me get the equipment I need?

Yes. We recommend and quote the exact hardware for your store — POS terminals, receipt printers, jewelry tag printers (barcode or RFID), cash drawers, barcode scanners, RFID readers, and card processing. You can buy hardware directly from us or source it yourself, whichever you prefer.

Do you support multi-store?

Yes. WJewel is built for multi-store jewelry businesses. You get real-time inventory sync across locations, cross-store transfers, consolidated reporting, store-level pricing and permissions, and memo tracking between stores. Each location can have its own receipt layout, tax settings, and employees while sharing a single customer database and reports.

Do you support custom / made-to-order products?

Yes. Custom and made-to-order work orders are a core workflow in WJewel, not an add-on. You can create an order with customer specs, required stones/metals, target completion date, sketches or attached photos, deposit tracking, and status updates (design, casting, setting, polishing, ready for pickup). Automated text and email notifications keep the customer informed. The same system handles repairs and appraisals with customizable tickets for each work type.

How long have you been in business?

WJewel is built by Ishal Inc., a New York–based jewelry software company. We've been building software for the jewelry industry since 1987 — over 38 years. Our customers include independent jewelers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and diamond dealers across the US and internationally. Some of our clients have been actively using our software since 1990.

How do I access my data when I'm not in the store?

Use our mobile app to see your live inventory, sales, and other management reports — from the convenience of your phone.

I need customized programming features. Can you handle that?
